2017 Holiday Gift Guide for Women
First and foremost….EXPERIENCES!
I can’t recommend this one enough. Yes, the rest of this list is made up of things, but my first recommendation to everyone who asks about presents is to give an experience. This shows you really know someone and you get to make a memory together, (and don’t forget to grab yourself a ticket too. It’s a win-win).  Just a few ideas to get you started:
- Concert tickets
- Cooking classes
- Sports tickets
- Spa day
- Comedy shows
- Weekend getaways
- Amusement park tickets
- Wine tasting/ food festival
- New Years Eve plans
Subscriptions
This is somewhere in between things and experiences, because subscriptions are truly the gifts that keep on giving all year long. Here are some subscriptions I love and use already, and HIGHLY recommend:
Wine Awesomeness I’m obsessed with Wine Awesomeness. This would be perfect for any adventurous wine-lover in your life. The monthly boxes come with 3 ($45/mo.) or 6 ($75/mo.) surprise bottles of wine, (you can choose reds, whites, or mixed). There’s always a fun theme for the month, like a certain country or region, and it’s a great way to try new, uncommon wines. They always have a little booklet full of hilarious descriptions of what you’re drinking and a new recipe to try pairing with it. I’ve discovered some of my favorite wines this way, and it’s always such a fun experience every month.
Audible Audible has single-handedly changed and improved my life quality. This is not an exaggeration. This audio book subscription, (I do 3 books a month for ~$21, but there are lots of options) allows you to stream audio books or podcasts on your phone/ computer/ car’s bluetooth and it’s life changing.  My hour-long commute to work is so enjoyable now, sometimes I sit in my car after I’ve gotten home just to finish a chapter. I actually ENJOY hour-long walks or runs without even noticing the time passing. In fact, I find myself making excuses to go on long walks just to hear what happens next.  I even turn on the book to listen to as I’m cooking or cleaning. I plow through a book or two a week this way with no effort at all. I can’t recommend this enough.
Stitch Fix Seriously, it’s like Christmas every time it comes to my door. Stitch Fix is a personal stylist service that sends you a box to your doorstep full of 5 hand-picked clothing items/ accessories for you. You get to take a fun style quiz and can even direct your stylist to a Pinterest board for inspiration. The more you use Stitch Fix, the better they get at picking things out for you that you need.  You only pay for the things you keep, and their return process is so easy and effortless.
Scott’s Cheap Flights For the adventurous travel-lover in your family. This subscription service ($49/year I think?) sends you all the best flight deals from your preferred airports every day. Seriously, I get emails DAILY about $400 flights to Europe ($1,200 regularly), $500 flights to Fiji ($2,000 regularly), etc. and it’s so tempting. Even if you just buy one flight a year at the discount rate, the annual fee is more than worth it. The deals usually only last a few hours so the push notifications to your inbox or phone are life-savers.
Ok….now we can move on to things…
Stocking Stuffers ($15 and under)
Dead Sea Mud Mask for Face & Body – 100% Natural Spa Quality – Best Pore Reducer & Minimizer to Help Treat Acne , Blackheads & Oily Skin – Tightens Skin for a Visibly Healthier Complexion – 8.8 OZ
Face masks! They are just fun, and they improve your skin. What’s not to love?
Set of 6 Cat Butt Magnets – Funny Animal Refrigerator Magnets, Perfect Animal Lover Gifts
I don’t know why I think these are the most hilarious things in the world but I need to have them on my fridge immediately. Someone please buy these for me.
One Line A Day Journal: Five Years of Memories, 6×9 Diary, Dated and Lined Book, Floral Sketch
I just got one of these journals and I think it’s such a cute idea! Every day is a page, and there is room for 5 year’s worth of notes on one page. You simply write one line about your day, and then as the years pass it’s fun to see the past entries. Simple, doable, heart-warming.
Ice Eye Mask by FOMI Care | Cooling Technology For Relaxing Sleep | Blackout for Airplane Travel | Migraine Headache, Eye Puffiness, Dark Circle Relief | Reusable Ankle Wrap | Fabric Backing (Blue)
I get mocked for this one but I’m OBSESSED with sleep masks. I can’t sleep without one. It not only blocks out light but now they make them with cooling beads so it not only feels nice and puts me to sleep faster, but it calms puffy eyes. WIN.
This gem is sold at Target and I can’t walk in there without buying this scent. It’s my go-to favorite. It’s usually around $12 and it’s the best burn-time for your money….80+ hours I think? The scent is smoky and comforting and warm without ever being headache-y or too perfume-y. The wood burning wick is such a nice touch, too.
Main Event Gifts
AncestryDNA: Genetic Testing – DNA Ancestry Test Kit ($69)
Because we’re all obsessed with ourselves and would secretly love this, though may never be willing to drop the money on it ourselves.
Lucaris 04 33063 Desire Elegant Red Wine Glass (Set of 4), 8.7″Â ($41.99)
I ordered these for us this summer since we constantly shatter wine glasses, and these are my FAVORITE. The glass is so wide and round you’ll feel glamorous holding it. Perfect for bold reds that need to open up and breathe.
Powerbeats3 Wireless In-Ear Headphones – Siren Red ($124.99)
A pair of quality, comfy, wireless headphones. You can’t beat Beats.
Fitbit Alta Fitness Tracker, Silver/Plum, Small (US Version)Â ($114)
If you don’t have a FitBit yet, you need one. This is the one I have, and I love it’s dainty size, (there are also plenty of other skins/covers that make it look like jewelry). Â Beyond the general fitness tracking features you’ll be obsessed with, my favorite thing about it is the sleep quality report. It’s the first thing I check every morning! Â I also love that it can display your texts and calls so you can know if you need to find your phone right away or not.
Nutri Ninja Pro Blender, Silver (BL456)Â ($59.99)
I could not live without this thing. I love to drink smoothies for breakfast every day and these are perfectly portioned cups you blend in AND pop a top on to take with you. You mean I don’t have to wash out a blender daily? SOLD.
Kendra Scott Long Kellie Necklace in Black ($89)
This is my favorite necklace I’ve ever owned. It seriously goes with everything and is simple but beautiful. Added bonus: it’s long enough to slip on and off so you never have to fiddle with a clasp. Actually everything at Kendra Scott would make a perfect holiday gift, so start shopping!
Neato Botvac Connected Wi-Fi Enabled Robot Vacuum, Works with Amazon Alexa ($300- $700)
Finally, one big splurge gift: a robot vacuum. LIFE CHANGER. I prefer this Neato brand over some of the others because it’s squared-off edges get into corners better. It cleans your house for you. You can make it run while you’re at work over an app. Life in the 21st century is just truly amazing.
