This may not look pretty, but it’s definitely delicious. Have you ever been trying to eat healthier, (whether it’s a normal diet, or a hardcore one like the Whole30) and had that 9 pm craving while watching TV for something sweet? Of course you have, you’re human. Well, my friend Hillary told me about this Whole30 dessert, (yes, I know the Whole30 doesn’t want you to eat “dessert”, but it’s compliant!) that helps her get through those cravings, and it’s become a regular staple in my house even when I’m not trying to diet. I always have these ingredients around in my pantry anyway!
It’s really simple: fill a shallow bowl with a little almond milk, a sliced banana, and a tablespoon or two of almond butter. Sprinkle it with cinnamon, and dig in with a spoon! Seems weird, I know, but it’s absolutely delicious and satisfying. In fact, I’m eating it right now as an easy weekend breakfast. It’s versatile!
And you know what, if you aren’t on a diet like paleo or Whole30, you can absolutely substitute normal milk and peanut butter! You do you, boo.
Oh, and bonus tip: a little crunchy action in you almond/ peanut butter is AMAZING texture for this dessert. Do itttttt.
- ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 banana, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. almond butter, (crunchy works well here!)
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
- Pour the almond milk in a shallow bowl, and top with sliced banana and a scoop of almond butter, (I like to spread the almond butter on the banana first, and then slice, if you like that way better!). Give everything a sprinkle or two of cinnamon, and dig in with a spoon!
Thank you for sharing the cinnamon, banana, almond butter dessert!!! It was absolutely satisfying, delicious, quick and I made it in 2 minutes! It took my craving away and is whole 30 compliant! Thank you again!!! ?
