Simple, Foolproof Strawberry Cobbler

Serves: 4-6 servings
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 cup sugar, plus ¼ cup for sprinkling
  • 1 cup Self-rising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pint strawberries, green tops removed and cut in half, (any fruit would work!)
  • Ice cream, for serving, (vanilla is classic, but lots of flavors would be great!)
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwavable dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and flour.
  4. Whisk in the milk, and then add the butter until it's all mixed and smooth.
  5. Butter a baking dish, and then pour the batter in.
  6. Wash and dry your berries, then add them evenly to the top of the batter.
  7. Sprinkle ¼ cup of sugar over the top.
  8. Bake for 1 hour, or until golden and bubbly. Serve hot with ice cream!
