This cherry almond paleo smoothie is packed with spinach, banana, almond butter, almond milk, and frozen cherries! Your tastebuds and stomach will be happy for hours. Whole30/ Paleo compliant.
My best friend Hillary told me about her favorite smoothie recipe 39 days ago in our hotel room in Cancun, Mexico. I have made this smoothie for breakfast all 37 days since that trip.
Not only is it super healthy, but it’s freaking delicious. The almond butter in there keeps me full and going for at least 4 hours until lunch. It’s paleo and whole30 compliant TECHNICALLY, (I know the Whole30 frowns upon smoothies, but I don’t eat eggs ok so what am I supposed to do?) just make sure your almond butter and almond milk don’t have any funny ingredients in them. Almonds ONLY! I don’t know about you, but now that I’m on an almond butter kick I just can’t quit. It’s way more tasty than peanut butter in my humble opinion, (my puppy thinks so too as he likes to lick the spoon for me).
Maybe I’m just a smoothie addict but I find this to be the world’s most perfect breakfast for someone on-the-go. Now that my commute in the morning is ONE HOUR, (yes, ONE HOUR, why did I move to the burbs of Atlanta again?) this is the perfect way to enjoy breakfast in the car, mess free. I whirl it up before I leave, stick it in the cup holder next to my coffee, and turn on my audiobook. It’s actually quite a nice routine I’ve established.
–Side note: now that I’m flying through an audiobook novel a week, I need some recommendations!–
So, thank you Hills. Thank you for this breakfast gift you gave me and thank you for not judging me when I cheat on the whole30 for smoothies and wine. Amen.
